The best way to learn how to skate

Kent Valley Ice Centre Group Lessons!

Our objective:  Fun and safe for all levels (ages 3 to Adult), promotes physical fitness, teaches correct skating techniques, develops coordination, strength and balance.

Health benefits:  Ice skating helps build endurance, strengthens muscles and increases flexibility.  Calories burned during recreational ice skating is about 250-810 per hour and competitive skating can be up to 450-1080 per hour.

Current series:  Tuesday, Sept 7 - Oct 26  or  Saturday, Sept 11 - Oct 30

Next series:  Tuesday, Sept 28 - Nov 16 or Saturday, Oct 2 - Nov 20


Classes meet once a week, for 7 or 8 weeks.
(Get $10 off with your paid registration 3 days prior to the class start date)
8 Week Classes $99.25 (Pre-paid Skate Rental + $22.02)   7 Week Classes $86.25 (Pre-paid Skate Rental +21.00)

Prices include:
One 30-minute class each week on Tuesday or Saturday and Admission to the Public Session after each class.

Additional Information

What to wear to class?
Ice rinks are very cold so dress in warm clothes with comfort and ability to move freely.  It is recommended that you dress in layers so as you warm up you can remove some to stay comfortable.  

Helmets are highly recommended for children 6 and under, as well as first time adults.

On the first day, be sure to arrive early in order to get your skates on and be ready to meet your teacher a few minutes before the class starts.

Certificates are presented to all students at the end of each series.
